Hello everyone, I think this is my first post. I've been fixing up my family's 1985 T-1550 since the Fall and have found everything here I've needed until now. A big thanks to everyone for the wealth of knowledge on these forums! I'm nearly finished with the project and had it out for a long Memorial Day weekend with only a few minor issues. So hopefully I can start contributing and I'll post project pics when I get them organized.
My problem is that my marker lights, which are LED now, are on but very dim when the battery is connected. I didn't think the marker lights were associated with the battery power at all. Another possibly associated issue I had was that the battery was completely dead after 1 hour of driving when arriving to the campground (non-electric site), I had the shore power connected for a few days prior at home and the battery seemed charged, at least the interior lights and water pump worked. During the remodel I had the entire rear ripped apart but was very careful to mark and reconnect everything as best I could. I did remove the hot water heater and heater, those wires are capped. My father had previously done some wire work around the battery area for quick disconnects to charge batteries for his electric boat motor, I didn't change anything here besides sealing the connections. There is a slow burn fuse near the battery and that's it on the tongue other than the wires. All the fuses in the converter and front marker light panel are good. I'm only slightly electrically inclined and not sure where to start troubleshooting this.
Thanks,
Joe
