Black & Gray Water Not Draining

$

Everything has been working so far on the 2001 T2975 that we just bought, but when we went to drain the black water (attached hose and pulled lever out) there was only a dribble. Nothing came out for gray water either. Is there another toggle? I can't find detailed instructions in the downloadable manual and we're totally new to this, so any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Allan has asked me to come here and inquire for assistance. He's about to replace the floor joists in our Sunline Solaris T-2053 and needs any advice and or pictures you may have.

I have spent much time looking over the many posts but have been unable to find the pictures & instructions. My fault because I KNOW they are there!

Thanks in advance for any advice you have!

= ), Suzie!

PS: With his arthritis he's really hoping he doesn't have to go underneath the trailer.

I'm struggling to find replacement glass or window assembly, for a door window (obscure) and the lower part of the kitchen table window (the part that goes up). There doesn't seem to be replacement frames for the door window possibly because of the unusual size. Not sure if the rounded corners will work over the original 'hard' corner window frame. I sure would appreciate any help or guidance anyone can offer.

First time owning a travel trailer, but family had a motor home growing up. Really excited and have enjoyed our trips so much. I have a '26 1984 and my son decided to put a few lacrosse balls through the windows. I sure would appreciate any help or guidance anyone can offer with either the door window frame or the how to kitcvhen window fix.
Thanks

Hello! New Owner

Hello All,

Yesterday I bought an adorable 1985 Sunline. I do not know the Model, I am sure it is somewhere on my paperwork.

I gave him a quick bath last night and today tore out all of the modifications the last owner did. The original owner had the camper from 1985 until June 2017 and she took great care of the camper. The previous owner lived in the camper for seven months and added some tables and shelves that were not aesthetically pleasing! Unfortunately I did not get any before pictures.

I cleaned out all his mods, opened all the cupboards and put the cushions in the camper and set off a bug bomb. I am amazed at the excellent shape of the windows, screens and cushions.

I have several questions. I will dig around the forums. The two fold down top bunks are missing a piece of wood to go under the mattresses and also the "mattresses?" if it had them.

I need a couple pieces of hardware and a couple of window treatment tracks with hooks.

He must have pulled out with the electric connected and broke the holder and cracked the camper siding. So I need to know how to fix that!

The fridge is gone too  So I will be looking for a replacement.

What is the recommended pressure on a 3000 lb trailer? My t1550 is around 2700 lb dry. Ive been running 35 psi, but it's a lil bouncy at times.

Hi everyone. I just bought a 1986 T-1550 over the weekend, and started researching it online. This led me to your site, and I am hoping to learn more about these neat little campers from your combined wealth of knowledge.

Looking at the brochure , the first thing I saw was that the seller had incorrectly listed the camper. He said it was a 13', but the layout is definitely the T-1550. I guess I got an extra two feet for free.

We have been looking for a small camper for a couple of years now, but nothing really caught our eye (except the Apache with hard sides, but I lost that debate). Looking forward to taking the Sunline on a trip to Mother Earth News Fair next month. We've already booked our site.

Siding question and should I invest or replace

Hi Everyone,

Been a while since I have checked in. Do love this club and its forums. We have a 2007 264SR. We love our trailer. Have made a few mods with help from this site and it is comfy. So here come my questions. I hope I have these in the correct forum.

I have noticed the front of the camper looks like the fiberglass has separated? a little from the wall. There is a little play if you push on it. The dealer has checked the roof and seams and said there are no issues, I have no sign of water damage any where. Is it normal for this to happen?? Should I be worried?

If the above is ok here are the next few questions. My wife and I would like to travel the country in the next few years We live in MA and would love to cross country. We have looked at new RV's and really don't see the quality we have in our Sunny. So would it be crazy to invest in our 264SR and keep it. Just buy a new tow vehicle. By invest I mean new roof and a power jack. Or would starting over be a better idea.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions and help.

Severe water damage

I just bought a used t-1950. No clue the year or model as they had no title.

It has A LOT more water damage than I thought it would. All of the trusses that I have gotten to are completely rotten. I need to get to the outer ones along the side and the back of the camper to start the framing. My question is how do you get the siding off without damaging in?

Also, looks like I will need to take the water heater out to get to the floor under it. Is that a difficult task?

Also, I am surprised the trusses run parallel to the structureal beams in the camper and not perpendicular. Is there a reason for that it should I reframe it with the perpendicular ?

And last. The black and gray water tanks, how are the mounted? If I tear out all the truss will they fall?

Sorry, very handy but this one has gotten to me.

Cleaned the black streaks

Hello All, We hope your summers are going well and lots are having safe camping trips. Due to medical issues we are staying home but the Sunline is used in the back yard. One of the uses is Judy, my sweet heart, is teaching two of our grandchildren cursive writing and math. They really enjoy doing it in the trailer.

I do not wash the trailer as often as I would like or should but I made a job of it recently. One of the big complaints is always getting the black streaks off the side. I decided to try some bar soap we made from Lye many years ago. I was very pleased with the results until I took a closer look at the bar of soap. Turns out it was an old bar of Ivory hand soap. Well I washed it all down then went over it again with RV wash and wax. I have to say it looks very nice with the streaks gone and all shiny. Hope that helps anyone trying to do that job.
Have a great day stay safe on those busy roads.

moisture meter mess up

I just typed a great piece on the moisture meter and it clicked itself off and got lost..so I'm making this short and you can ask questions, I cut an access hole in the floor of my 1985 T 1750, as it had high readings under the dinette area which has been removed. I removed the piece..absolutely dry, no rot no mold, no wet insulation with the piece in my hand it read 75 %. the whole trailer is dry inside with the usual rot in lower corners, and some repaired areas around the fridge and water heater. floors are solid with original sub floor and vinyl covering. moisture meters are sensitive to metal do you think there's metal in the OSB board floor ? I have a few other areas totally independent of any walls or water access, that are solid but read high. the actual older rotted areas of floor that are now dry but rotted read lower than the other random areas I checked. jdeas ??? I'm not cutting any more "access " holes

Need advice PLEASE!:)

Hello my name is Stacey & this is my very first post (hope I'm doing things correct & I get my question answered) I have been looking to find an older model travel trailer to fix up & give new life to. I happened to find a 1988 Sunline Sunray model 320, It is 32ft with an amazing floor plan bunk beds in the rear with a good size full/queen nice kitchen setup just awesome. The problem is .. we'll just about everything .. it needs a new roof, new floor, new door, glass is broken in one window it also has a hole in the siding on the outside & this is just what I could see with my eyes. I will be getting this beauty for nothing but what I'm wondering is will I regret taking this project on? Does this sound like a lost cause? I don't want to bring it home to learn that it's going to cost a fortune & I won't be able to fix all the issues & now I have this monstrosity sitting in my not so big front yard. I don't mind putting the work into it or a little bit of cash. I was thinking I wouldn't want to have to invest more than $2500. This would be my first project like this & im not sure we are a good match but I'm in love & it really needs to be saved. Any help would be MUCH appreciated & if taking on this project I may need every one of you;)

Locking brakes

Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a 1993 Sunline Saturn T-1740. My question is this. While towing the trailer home I noticed that the brakes were locking up when I applied the tow vehicle brakes. I found this odd as there are no electric breaks on the trailer just the emergency ones. When i disconnect the plug from tow vehicle it works fine. But i have to have lights while towing. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance .
