Toilet to Black Tank Connection - Need help

$

Hi Folks,

Need some help on my 2004 T1950. I have never had one of these apart and looking for info on how to pull the toilet flange from the black tank. It looks like the flange is ABS welded to a spout pipe that goes into the tank. There does not appear to have any welded fitting on the bottom of the pipe as seen from the inside of the pipe.

Does the tank have a rubber grommet connection that the pipe just sticks into the tank through the grommet?

I tried lifting the flange with 2 screw drivers under it and everything sort of flexed but no movement. I did not want to pull any harder until I knew more how this goes together.

Is there a trick to pulling on the flange to get it to release?

The floor under the bathroom is bad and needs to be replaced. Thus the toilet flange and black tank have to come out.

Any help, greatly appreciated.

Thanks

John

Here is the flange setup.

FROM the SOUTH OF PITTSBURGH, PA HELLO ALL. Tried without success to locate a Real-Lite by Juno 18' TT. The T1550 was as close as I could get. 2' shorter but it's floor plan & layout are identical. The outside is built pretty darn close. Compare pics - what do you think? Think it's a 81? Found the vin but don't know how to translate. It has some damage, need to find a wiring diagram and any other helpful info for my restoration.

Hi all. I bought an old travel trailer about 3 years ago and nobody has been able to identify it for me. It has no identification tags at all that I can find, and has been mostly re-built on the inside, and re-painted on the outside in different colors. Every few months or so I get on a kick to surf around looking for a tiny travel trailer that looks like mine and I believe now I have found my long lost family!!! It looks to me that my travel trailer started out as a sunline model, I think I read a "baby sunline" but I'm hoping you all who are more familiar with sunline trailers can fill me in on the make, model, and birthrights of my trailer. Its 12.5' long and 7' wide, weighs 1992 lbs but that is about all I know about it. Here are a bunch of pics. So am I a long lost family member or not??? - Jon

I think the running lights are the giveaway on the model year.

Gypsy Moth Caterpillars [emoji35]

Anyone have any experience with gypsy moths/caterpillars and your trailer? For the past few days they've been descending from the trees and climbing up my trailer. So many of them! I knock them down and kill them when I see them but I'm concerned about places they might be getting to and what I might have to deal with in the future. Any advice as to places to focus on and ideas for deterring them are welcome. I've been reading up on how to deal with them regarding trees but not sure yet what methods I might want to apply to my camper. I know I can't be alone with this problem up here in New England, right?

any help in finding the leak source in a 2003 2370? moisture meter shows 100% from the bottom of the front window down, over to the cabinets and wall, and high , on some of the floor underneath. I assume it may be the window..in the back under kitchen cabinets, and in the floor from the rear door over to the bathroom. but no wall moisture. rear roof corner soft, and around the fridge vent. I can pull it all apart and fix all . but I just wanted to find the source. i have repaired other campers , but never actually found the source, when fixed.i understand water goes everywhere, but it would be nice to know that I found the leak, not just found the wet.the camper is nice no smells no bad interior panels, needs stuff fixed $2500 trying for $2000 from a dealer...next stop, junked if I don't intervene. thanks

LED Lighting Conversion

I am working on my 1989 1661 TT. Looking to upgrade to LED, starting with exterior. I am planning to use the Bargman LED markers as they look just like the existing ones. I want to replace the lamps in the brake/turn lights. The reviews on Amazon are all over the place. Some claim polarity can ge an issue. Some need to add resistors to stop rapid flashing of turn signals. Others complain of low brightness or fast burnout. Can someone recommend a lamp that will work well for my application? I would also appreciate advice on upstanding the interior lights.

Thanks.
Jim

I joined at the end of April/ beginning of May after buying my first camper then finding a 6" rotten spot in the back corner of the floor. Since then I have been working slowly on it. I exposed the floor then pulled a section of the floor up finding more rot needless to say as I went I kept finding more and more. As I opened the walls and the floor I found lot of soaking wet insulation as well. The problem came from the roof which I have yet to get to. Side walls at the bottom replaced and floor joists replaced. Put foam insulation in the back 4'.
Not sure why some of the pictures loaded upside down.

New Roof and Hook Ladder

Hey there Sunliners, coming to you from the Olympic National Forest in Washington

I am mulling over the idea of replacing my roof with a walkable (plywood) roof. And I am wondering with a new roof if my T-1950 could withhold a ladder like these or similar, just started looking?

Washing/ inspection/ repair is a real pain without a ladder ( I don't carry a long one with me so I borrow) Not to mention not being able to actually get on the roof

Most seem to be in the 250lb range and are 84 to 99 inches in length and the roof would add weight also. Probably would be a good idea to weight as it since I am a full time RVer. I have weighted my truck

Also what kind of insulation for the roof? Reflective? Should there be a vapor shield?

Thanks all!

If you were to create a tool kit of the bare minimum tools that you would keep with you for checking on things, general maintenance, and making repairs to your (especially older) Sunlines, what would you include?

Unfortunately, when we were having our tires changed on our 15' 1982 camper they broke 2 R bolts. No one could find replacement bolts so we had a new axle, springs, and wheels put on. I am hoping that the parts that we salvaged will help someone else who is in our situation or who needs to purchase a spare tire/hub/bolts.
I tried to load my pictures, but can't
We have both rims, all 4 left bolts, 2 right bolts, and one hub..
I am going to post on eBay as well (if I can figure out how to!)
If you email donkeycrossfarm@aol.com, I can send pictures!!

Need help to find the correct deadbolt. Just acquired a 81 t1550. Noticed a aluminum plate decal on the door on using a philips deadbolt...
"this frame is mfg. To receive a philips dead bolt. Order part dh 02300200 for dead bolt - install instruc. Enclosed"
there is a round hole above the entry handle striker on the door and when i removed the aluminum tag the frame has a rectangular hole and screw hole punch marks. Googled but could not find philips & this lock #. I'm sure there is the same made by other brands but which one matches?

Replacement Part for Screen Door?

OMG...

I was gone for 3 hours and my dog must have spooked by some bad wind and destroyed the bottom plastic part of my screen door and tore out the new screen I just put in.

In four years of RVing she has NEVER behaved like this.

But my immediate problem is can I even get a replacement for the plastic on the bottom part of the door??

I will have to replace the screen and add one of those grilles or something similar but that plastic part??

Can it be found? Or do I have to find a salvage or plastic and have it cut?

BTW I am in Washington by Port Townsend if anyone knows of a parts place or has any local suggestions

Thanks in advance!

Here goes..my fridge is toast, we all agree! I would like to replace it with an electric unit. My entry doorway measures only 20 1/8" W...My Dometic RM361 installation guide shows the following:
Overall Width:21 11/16" (yep! thats the door meas.!)
Installation Width: 20 1/4" Install Depth: 20 3/16"
Recess width: 20 1/2"

Obviously if that "installation width" means ACTUAL WIDTH,then I am out of luck..however, Dometic can"t answer that to my satisfaction. They just don't have any other info.
Now, I would think if the recess dimension means the opening for the fridge to go into, it would be pretty hard to slide a fridge into it with only a quarter inch to spare..hard but maybe not impossible. However, none of the stated measurements will go thru my door. I only need one measurement to be wrong to help me out! Does anyone know the true measurement or how to get a correct one without first removing the darned thing!? (Not going to have my brother remove the entry door or risk ammonia burns etc by removing the cooling unit....) Janalee

Greetings and safe travels.

My husband and I just purchased a 2007 Que. We were looking for a trailer that was lightweight and smaller. This seems perfect for 2. It needs some minor work. We need to repair the fiberglass on the back lights, the kitchen sink is leaking and we need to find a horizontal LP tank.

We are very happy to join this group of Sunline Owners as we know will will benefit from your knowledge and experiences:).

We appreciate any advice and look forward to hearing about your Rving adventures.

Thanks for letting us join you!

Happy camping.

looking at a 1994 Sunline T-2363

hasn't been used in last 2 years BUT has been in the same family for many of these 23 years.

Will need new tires(what is the normal life for trailer tires 215 45 17) x 4

No smells inside trailer, very very clean. Plugged into electric and things actually worked. Radio, ac, microwave, hood fan

Some peeling of the stripes exterior. No biggie

Any suggestions on what truck to get for this trailer. Truck will only be used for the tow. I have other cars to drive

qn bed was comfy, all wood was beautiful for a 94. Carpet was even good.

need to know what to look for.

if ac ever doesn't blow cold, what do you check. Is it like a car's ac. Expensive or cheap

Anyone out there that can check this unit out for me since I am a novice

price seems ok 1500 obo

Thanks for your advice

How often should be bearing be repacked? I believe I had mine done about three years ago

Lubed?

What about brakes and brake pads? Never have done any replacement here

I assume that it might have to do with how much the camper is used.

I have been full time for going on four years and have driven quite a few miles. Michigan to Tucson...Tucson to Utah....Tucson to SW Colorado...Tucson to Washington...Michigan to Tucson

Well you get the picture

And speaking of pictures...A few from the trail in the Olympic Peninsula in Washington
