Hey y'all - long time, no write. I was sitting under my awning last week around noon, looked up and saw slits o' sunshine coming through. The fabric is opening up in several places along the top near the fastening rail (where the awning is exposed to sunlight all day, every day). It looks as if an X-acto knife-wielding vandal has been at work. Oddly, the damage is only on the frontmost ¼ of the awning (the tongue end).
What is the best way to repair this? Other than putting one of those solid covers over the rolled up awning, is there a way to protect the fabric from sun damage?
