T-264SR Bathroom Wardrobe Shelves

The giant double door hanging wardrobe in the bathroom of our camper is great but after a camping season we found that we were only using half the space. It is set up to hang clothes which might be good if I wore a three piece suit to the campground. Since our camp-wear is pretty casual, folding works just fine and saves tons of space. It is nice to hang the coats in there to keep the out of the way, but that left half the cabinet empty since only small stuff was placed on the bottom.

I built a divider and shelves for one side of the cabinet, keeping the hanging feature on the other side for coats. This was built with 1/4" faced veneer plywood and basic 3/4" pine boards.

I cut the divider and attached 3/4" x 3/4" strips around the sides and where the shelves would be on the side. The side with no 3/4" board was screwed to the 3/4" support rip behind the front divider board.

Same 3/4" strips around the shelves, the side missing is screwed to the ones attached to the divider.

I created "legs" for the side opposite the divider. Countersunk screws from the top of the shelves attach the legs. I also added Kreg screw holes in the legs to secure it for the final install after the clear coat. The one on the left is secured sideways and the right is down to the shelf below.

Test fit before clear coat.
