‘84 T1750 Heater won’t light

hi,

this tt is new to us, still running thru the systems. can’t seem to get the heater lit.

following the directions, but can’t determine if pilot lights or not? how can you tell?

also attaching two pics. does anything look amiss? where should i check voltages? also what does the little button/indicator do or mean? should it be sticking up, or flush? it doesn’t want to push to reset...

any help sincerely appreciated, tia
