First extended trip with my 257sr

My wife and I just finished our first extended trip with the 2007 t-257sr we recently purchased. I thought I would share our pros and cons.

Pros:
Extra living space with the slideout couch was wonderful.
4 person dinette allows full access to all of the camper even when the slide
is fully retracted. My camping neighbor has to climb over if he needs to
bathroom while on the road. lol.
Pull out pantry frees up cabinet space previously used for groceries.
L shaped kitchen counter. Now I can leave the Keurig, toaster, and electric
tea kettle (yeah, I know, really roughing it) plugged in and still have room
for the dish rack.
Extra storage under fridge. Previous camper had water pump and hvac
lines under there.
More storage under the sink due to better plumbing setup.
Wider entry door lets me slide my full size, fold down Brinkman grill right
into camper, without blocking any access to cabinets or drawers, while
still leaving me room to move around. see pic. oh, and my cooler just
fits in the open space. Handy access on the road.
2nd entry door is very handy.
Awning is 2' wider than my previous camper. Didn't think it would make
much difference, but it sure seemed much bigger.
More and bigger windows created a nice cross breeze on windy days.

Cons:
We had a bit of an ant problem, but that's not Sunline's fault.
Black/gray tank gauges were screwy. Read "empty" correctly when I
started out. Read "full" the entire vacation (including when I got home),
even when I knew they were empty, and are now reading "empty"
correctly.
There was an annoying drip from the lav faucet hot side. Couldn't fix it so
I replaced it with a nicer single lever faucet. see pic Easy Peasy fix.
Red indicator light on electric hot water switch did not work. Thankfully,
the heater element worked, saving me some propane.
Small leak in shower drain. I expected that since I could see where the
PO tried to reputty the drain from the top. That never works! The
convenient access panel to the underside plumbing allowed me to
put a small bowl with paper towels under the trap to catch the leak
until I can remove and reseal the drain properly. Should be a fairly
simple repair.
Even though the mattress had springs, it was still a little uncomfortable,
and a lot short. Lol.

All in all, I am very happy with the features of the 257sr. Most important, SO IS MY WIFE!
HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE!
